Session Sorry - Closed Session I 9:00 AM to 12 PM Grades 2nd to 6th News Reporter: Campus Newspaper Summer camp needs a newspaper—this is your chance to be on the ground floor. Join us as we create a newspaper—we even have to name it! Will it be the Imagine That! Journal? The Summer Camp Sun? I wonder. This will be your newspaper — that means with lots of your views and thoughts on life events and camp events. We’ll have deadlines to meet. We’ll learn interviewing skills; using the computer to design headlines and articles; honing our skills as we use the internet to review the latest kid movie and books and maybe review some favorite kid friendly vacation spots, some photography work; plenty of teamwork, and we’ll set aside a place to show our work. Papers will be distributed weekly. We’ll also be doing some ‘newspaper inspired’ arts and crafts and cooking! Yum! So, join the fun and be a snoop!. (Personal laptops are welcome!) Sasha Sobraske, elementary ed grad from the University of Arizona and current preK teacher at PVUMC preschool, will be your Publisher/Editor. Quick! There’s a deadline to meet!
