9:00 AM to 12 PM Sorry - Closed Grades 2nd to 6th MIND GAMES It’s back after rave reviews from last year’s participants, and a thumbs up from the news reporters who reviewed this very active camp! Each day we will learn 2 or more games from around the world: card games, board games, dice games, word games, you name it---but NO video games! Participants use strategy, skill and cunning in a variety of different settings to sharpen their skills and talents. Most of the games we played last year were new to many of the students, but a few familiar ones were thrown in. Some of the titles were: Dahimi, Tripoly, Kings in the Corners, Stack, Human Battleship, Dominoes, Think Pink, Boggle, Countdown, Skunk—just to name a few. More new games have been added this year too! There ARE TONS more…Everyone leaves the camp with a notebook filled with rules and instructions for the games we learn, so that they can share the fun with family and friends. Come join us as we use our brains all summer long having a GREAT TIME! We will introduce you to the joy of social parlor games and you won’t be bored here! Don’t tell our campers, but thinking games contribute to the improvement of cognitive skills, as well as help the learner better cope with emotional and social situations, while still having great fun!…..Lori Wiggs is our much loved camp teacher who previously was coordinator of the Summer Recreation programs for the cities of Glendale and Phoenix…. |
