Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a walk-in registration, like in years past?

No, there are no more long lines and hours of waiting. Instead, you may mail-in your registration form so that it arrives before or on March 1st. If received earlier than March 1st, registrations are placed in same basket as those received March 1st. Faxes and E-mail registrations via the website can begin at 12:01 a.m. on March 1st. If you decide to E-mail via the website or fax (480 657-9861) the registration, it’s the check that holds the camp spot and fees must be received within two days. Or, you may drop it off to Sequoya Elementary, located at 11808 N. 64th St. Scottsdale, Room 115 or Bev Nystedt’s mail box in the school office. 

 

Will I get a registration confirmation?

Yes. We will e-mail within two weeks to confirm. It is important to write your E-mail clearly!

 

Who do I pay?

Please make your checks payable to Children’s Choice. All camp charges are normally paid in full at the time of registration. Payment for faxed/email registrations, should be received within two business days. A payment plan is available upon request: contact Bev for details.

 

Can I get a refund?

 We are sorry, there are no refunds or credits for missed days due to illness, change of plans or vacation. However, camps which do not meet minimum enrollment, will be canceled and fees refunded.

 

What if my child’s camp is filled by the time you receive the registration?

We ask if you have a 1st & 2nd choice, that you list both for each session that you enroll.  We will e-mail you to confirm the camp. Please make sure that your E-mail is clearly written.

 

What if I want my child to be with a friend?

We try to honor friend requests. To insure that they are together, you want to send both registrations in the same envelope (or fax/email both together). Be sure to put friend’s name request on camp info. side of each child’s form. If received separately, we cannot hold a spot.

 

How do I know the room number of my child’s camp?

A campus map will be sent out to you via E-mail as well as camp room assignments. Camp room assignments will also be posted at camp.

 

Is there early care available for the 6 weeks of camp?

YES! We will offer early morning care for our students. Additional information about early care is available in the early care section of our brochure. There is a small charge for this 7:30 — 9:00 program.

 

If I sign up for lunchbunch, will a hot lunch be provided?

No, but there is an optional lunchbunch program available for one hour for a nominal charge where campers bring a sack lunch and eat in a camp room with a teacher. Due to numerous nut allergies, no peanut butter or nuts please!!!
