1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sorry Session Closed 5 & 6 Year Olds Explore Arizona From mountain pine trees to desert cactus there is much to explore in the state of Arizona. We will discover the animals living around the mighty saguaro cactus by making rattlesnake neckties and hairy javelinas. We’ll be investigating the Bone Box from Ariz. Fish and Game Dept. discovering the skeletons, furs and tracks of our desert and mountain dwellers. Desert week ends with a visit from real Arizona desert animals. The tall pine trees of Arizona forest provide the next discovery. We will go on a squirrel food hunt and discover what skunks really smell like when we make our own scratch and sniff paintings. Ugh! Forest week ends with a campout in the Arizona “forest” including real live fishing. Bring your binoculars and get ready to explore!!! Shannon Hill is our preschool science extraordinaire from North West Christian, where she teaches 5 and 6 year olds.
